Give a Woman Credit Where Credit Is Due

In a meeting, if you notice a female colleague isn’t getting credit for an idea or solution she came up with, mention it in the meeting. When another coworker talks about the idea, you can say, “Yes! I was excited to hear Grace bring that up. I think it’s a great solution that will help us achieve our goals.”

If you see a social media page using a quote or sharing work from someone else and not crediting her, leave a comment crediting the person whose work is being shared. It could be as simple as, “I love this quote! I believe it belongs to @Amber125. You should tag her in this post so she gets credit.”

If you know a woman worked hard pulling together a big project—the football banquet, a school supply drive, the Girl Scout sleepover, a fundraiser—reach out to her and thank her for her work and make sure others involved know how much effort she put into the project to make it a success.
